Product Description New for 2009 an exciting line of high-quality hydraulic hose kits in some of Jagwires most popular colors. No more mismatched derailleur housing and hydraulic hose combination's. The HyFlow hose kits offer a wide range of customization options to personalize any bike. The HyFlow hoses are engineered to individual manufactures specifications, so they wont change the feel of the brakes. An Avid specific hose will feel just like the Avid hose being replaced. Constructed with high-grade Teflon liners that resist heat build-up and reinforced with Kevlar fibers the HyFlow hose kits will provide miles and miles of eye-catching performance.

| Customer Reviews: Defective hose May 28, 2010 I installed this hyflow hose kit on an all new build with all new brake parts. Went on one ride. Lost brakes. I ordered new fitting kits and carefully reinstalled the hoses, just in case I improperly mounted the delicate olive hardware. Still leaked. After lots of careful cleaning and rechecking and installing yet another new hardware kit, I realized the leak was actually coming from the midspan of the hose, not at the fittings! I had mistakently blamed the fittings because the fluid ran down the hose and accumulated at the fittings, where the hose terminates. Careful inspection found the fluid actually bleeds through the hose where the lettering is stamped onto the hoses. I tossed these and got genuine Shimano hoses which worked perfectly on the first install. It is apparent that the shimano hose is a much harder and more durable hose stock than the hyflow. I think that in order for the hyflow to show the designer color, they used a transparent outer hose layer that almost feels like pvc and a simple thumbnail pressure test shows this to be very soft. No confidence in brake hoses that are so weak they bleed. The hyflow manufacturer inserts a small paper warning advising about the potential for leaks to occur if the olives are installed crooked and they tout their redesigned olive as superior and will correct the problem. I believe their engineers must have been assigned to diagnose and solve the leak problems similar to mine and they misdiagnosed the problem exactly as I initially did by blaming the fittings when the real problem is improperly designed or manufactured hose stock.
